If you are driving, head towards Keswick from any point in the Lake District National Park. Follow the A591 road towards Keswick. Once you reach Keswick, look for signs directing you towards Derwentwater. Upon entering the town, turn onto the A5271 (Borrowdale Road). Continue until you see signs for Friars Crag, which is located along the eastern shore of Derwentwater. There is limited parking available nearby, so be sure to arrive early during peak tourist seasons.

To reach Friars Crag by public transport, take a bus to Keswick. You can find bus services operating from various towns within the Lake District. Once in Keswick, disembark at the bus station. From there, it's a short walk to Derwentwater. Head towards the lakefront (approximately 15 minutes), following signs for the lakeside paths. Look for directional signage towards Friars Crag along the lakeside walk.

If you're already in Keswick, you can walk to Friars Crag. Start at the Keswick town centre and head towards the lake. Follow the signs to Derwentwater, which will lead you to the lakeside path. The walk from the centre of Keswick to Friars Crag is around 20 minutes and offers stunning views of the lake and surrounding mountains. Stay on the path that runs alongside the lake until you reach Friars Crag.
