If you are driving, head to the town of Cockermouth in the Lake District. From Cockermouth, take the A5086 road south towards the village of Ennerdale Bridge. Continue on this road for approximately 6 miles. Look for a small parking area on the right side of the road (Unnamed Road, 0RU), where you can leave your vehicle. Please note that parking may be limited, so arriving early is advisable.

Public Transportation
To reach Scale Force Waterfall using public transport, take a train or bus to the town of Cockermouth. From here, you will need to catch a local bus heading towards Ennerdale Bridge (check local bus schedules for times). Get off at the nearest stop to the A5086. From the bus stop, it is about a 1-mile walk to the waterfall. Follow the A5086 towards Ennerdale Bridge until you reach the parking area, then follow the path leading to Scale Force Waterfall.

If you have parked your car at the parking area on the Unnamed Road, follow the path leading from the parking area which will take you through the beautiful woodlands and hills. The walk to Scale Force Waterfall is about 1 mile and is relatively easy but involves some uneven terrain. You will hear the sound of the waterfall as you approach, and the path may be muddy, so wear suitable footwear.
