Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, you can navigate to The Falls of Clyde, located at 2 New Lanark Rd, Lanark ML11 9DB. From Glasgow, take the M74 motorway southbound. Exit at junction 6 for A72 towards Lanark. Continue on the A72, following signs for Lanark town center. Once in Lanark, follow New Lanark Road, and you will see signs directing you to The Falls of Clyde. There is parking available nearby, but please note that there may be a parking fee which varies depending on the duration of your stay.

• Public Transportation

  For those using public transport, start by taking a train from Glasgow Central Station to Lanark. The journey takes approximately 50 minutes, and trains run regularly throughout the day. Once you arrive at Lanark Station, exit and walk towards the town center. From there, you can catch a local bus (Bus number 110 or 112) that will take you directly to New Lanark. The bus journey takes about 15 minutes. Finally, from the bus stop, it’s a short walk to The Falls of Clyde. Be sure to check the bus schedule for return times, as services may vary.

• Walking

  If you are already in Lanark, you can walk to The Falls of Clyde. Start from the town center and head south on High Street towards the A72. Cross over to New Lanark Road and follow the road for about 1.5 miles (around 30 minutes walk). The route is scenic and will lead you directly to The Falls. Just keep an eye out for signs along the way!
