If you're driving, start from Peebles, heading west on the A72 towards Eddleston. Continue on the A72 for about 8 miles until you reach the junction with the A701. Turn right onto the A701 and continue for approximately 5 miles until you reach the village of Broughton. Keep an eye out for signs for Talla Reservoir. Turn onto the Broughton to Talla Road (B7016) and follow it for about 4 miles. You will see the reservoir on your left. There is parking available along the road near the reservoir.

To reach Talla Reservoir by public transport, take the bus from Peebles to Biggar. The service is operated by the number 110 bus. The journey takes about 30 minutes, and buses run several times a day. Upon reaching Biggar, you will need to take a taxi to Talla Reservoir, which is approximately 7 miles away. Ensure you check the local taxi services in Biggar, as they may charge around £15-£20 for this trip.

Walking (from a nearby bus stop)
If you arrive at Biggar and prefer walking, you can walk from the town to Talla Reservoir, although it is a lengthy walk of about 1.5 hours (approximately 7 miles). From the bus stop in Biggar, head north on the A701. After about 1 mile, turn right onto the B7016 towards Broughton. Follow the B7016 for the remaining distance until you reach Talla Reservoir on your left.
