Getting There

• Walking

  If you are near Leeds train station, exit the station onto New Station Street. Turn left and walk straight for about 5 minutes until you reach the large roundabout (City Square). Continue onto Park Row and then take a right onto Wellington Street. After about 5 minutes, you will come to the junction with New York Street. Turn left onto New York Street, and Leeds Kirkgate Market will be on your right.

• Walking

  From the city center, head towards Briggate, a pedestrianized shopping street. Walk north along Briggate until you reach the junction with New York Street. Turn left onto New York Street, and walk straight for about 5 minutes. Leeds Kirkgate Market will be on your right, just before you reach the large roundabout.

• Bus

  If you are near the Leeds City Centre Bus Station, look for buses heading towards the city center. Take any bus that goes to 'New York Street' or 'Market Street'. Request to get off at the stop nearest to New York Street. From there, walk a short distance along New York Street, and Leeds Kirkgate Market will be on your right.

• Train

  If you are coming from outside Leeds, take a train to Leeds Railway Station. Once you arrive, follow the walking directions from Leeds train station above. It is just a 5-10 minute walk to Leeds Kirkgate Market.

• Taxi

  If you prefer to take a taxi, simply tell the driver you would like to go to 'Leeds Kirkgate Market, New York Street'. Taxis are readily available throughout the city, and this is a short ride from most places in Leeds.
