  From Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park, head east on the A82 road towards Stirling. Follow the A82 for about 20 miles until you reach the A84 junction. Take the A84 towards Stirling and continue for approximately 8 miles. As you approach Stirling, follow signs for the city center. Once you reach the city center, look for parking options nearby. The closest parking to Stirling Old Town Jail is the 'Wallace Monument' car park, where you can park for around £2 for 2 hours. After parking, it's a short 10-minute walk to the jail.

• Public Transportation

  From any location in Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park, take a bus to Stirling. You can catch a bus from places like Balloch or Callander. The journey usually takes around 1 to 1.5 hours and costs approximately £5-£10. Once you arrive at Stirling Bus Station, exit and walk towards the city center. Stirling Old Town Jail is about a 15-minute walk from the bus station. You can follow the signs to the attractions or use a map app on your phone to navigate to St John St, Stirling FK8 1EA.

• Train

  If you are near a train station in Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park (such as in Balloch), take a train from Balloch to Stirling. Depending on the time of travel, there may be a change at Glasgow Queen Street. The total travel time is about 1 to 1.5 hours and the ticket costs around £10-£15. Once you arrive at Stirling train station, exit and head towards the city center, which is about a 20-minute walk or you can take a local bus to the city center. From there, it’s a short 10-minute walk to Stirling Old Town Jail.
