Get off at Waterloo Station, which is about a 10-minute ride. Once you exit the station, follow the signs for the South Bank.

From Waterloo Station, head out towards the main exit and walk straight ahead. As you exit the station, you will see the ‘South Bank’ signs. Walk down the steps to the riverside path, and turn left. Continue walking along the riverbank for about 10 minutes. You will pass the London Eye on your right. Keep walking until you see the National Theatre building on your left.

If you prefer to take a bus, from Waterloo Station, you can catch Bus 1, 77, or 381. These buses will take you towards the South Bank. Get off at the stop called 'National Theatre'. From there, it’s just a short walk to the entrance of the garden terrace.

For a scenic option, you can take a riverboat from various piers along the Thames. If you are near Westminster Pier, board a boat heading towards Greenwich or the London Eye.
