King's Reach Commemoration Memorial: A Tribute to History

Getting There

• Tube

  If you are starting from Central London, make your way to the nearest Tube station. The closest stations to King's Reach commemoration memorial are Temple (Circle and District lines) and Charing Cross (Bakerloo and Northern lines). From Temple station, exit onto Temple Place, turn left and walk towards the river. After a short walk, cross the road to reach the memorial. If you are at Charing Cross, exit towards Trafalgar Square, then follow the signs towards the River Thames, walk along Embankment until you reach the memorial.

• Bus

  You can take several bus routes to reach King's Reach commemoration memorial. From Trafalgar Square, catch bus number 159 or 76 heading towards St. Paul’s Cathedral. Get off at the stop 'Victoria Embankment', then walk towards the river, and you’ll find the memorial close to the riverbank. There are also numerous buses from other central locations that stop at either Temple or Embankment.

• Walking

  For those enjoying a stroll, start from the iconic Covent Garden area. Simply head south towards the River Thames along the Strand, which is a straight path. Continue walking down the Strand until you reach the Embankment area. By following the signs for the river, you will arrive at the King's Reach commemoration memorial located right along the riverbank. The walk should take around 15-20 minutes and offers lovely views.

• Cycling

  If you prefer cycling, you can hire a Santander Cycle from any docking station in Central London. Head towards the River Thames and follow the riverside cycle paths. The memorial is located on the south bank of the Thames, near the Embankment. Make sure to check a bike map for the safest and most direct cycling route.
