Getting There

  • Car

    If you are driving from Monmouth, take the A466 southbound towards Chepstow. Continue on this road for approximately 8 miles until you reach the junction with the B4234. Turn right onto the B4234 and follow the signs for Symonds Yat and Yat Rock. After about 2 miles, you will arrive at the Yat Rock car park where you can park for a small fee (around £2 for the day). From the car park, it’s a short walk to the viewing area.

  • Public Transportation

    To reach Yat Rock using public transport, catch a bus from Monmouth to Coleford (check local bus schedules as they may vary). Once in Coleford, you can take the number 23 bus towards Symonds Yat. Alight at the stop closest to Yat Rock. From the bus stop, follow the signs for Yat Rock, which is about a 20-minute walk uphill. Ensure you check the bus return times to plan your return to Monmouth.

    If you are staying in the vicinity of Symonds Yat, you can walk to Yat Rock from the village, which is about a 30-minute trek.
