To reach Duffus Castle by car from Nairnshire, start by heading southeast on the A96 road. Continue on the A96 for approximately 30 miles until you reach the town of Elgin. As you approach Elgin, take the exit toward A941 and follow signs for Duffus Castle. The castle is located just outside of Elgin, about a 5-minute drive from the town center. Look for signs directing you to Duffus Castle and follow them to the parking area.

To get to Duffus Castle via public transport, take a bus from Nairn to Elgin. Services are available from Nairn Bus Station to Elgin Bus Station, which typically operate every 30 minutes. The journey will take about 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive at Elgin Bus Station, you can take a local bus (Service 36) toward Lossiemouth and get off at the Duffus stop. From there, it is a short walk (about 10 minutes) to the castle. Be sure to check the bus schedules ahead of time for the most accurate timings.
