If you are traveling by car, head towards Chollerford, Hexham. From the A69, take the exit towards the B6318 road. Follow the B6318 for approximately 2 miles. Chesters Roman Fort and Museum will be on your left-hand side. There is a parking area available on-site, which is free of charge.

Public Transportation - Train and Bus
For those using public transportation, start by taking a train to Hexham Station. From Hexham Station, exit and head to the bus stop located just outside. You can catch the 'AD122' bus towards Chollerford. The bus ride will take approximately 20 minutes. Disembark at the 'Chollerford' stop, and from there, it's a short 10-minute walk to Chesters Roman Fort and Museum. The bus fare is around £2.50.

If you are already in Chollerford, you can easily reach Chesters Roman Fort and Museum on foot. From the center of Chollerford, walk along the B6318 road for about 0.5 miles, and you will find the museum on your left. The walk takes around 10 minutes.
