Though the upper sections of the turret walls have not survived, it likely included an upper floor and possibly a roof or open observation platform. The adjoining 69-metre section of Hadrian’s Wall remains intact, illustrating the defensive curtain wall and its V-shaped ditch. Notably, Brunton Turret’s curtain wall varies in thickness on either side, reflecting construction phases and techniques.
