Car
From Morpeth, take the A197 towards Ashington. After approximately 5 miles, turn left onto the A192. Continue on the A192 for about 3 miles until you reach the village of Harwood. Look for signs leading to Winter's Gibbet, which is located just north of the village. There is limited parking available near the site, so be sure to arrive early to secure a spot.

Public Transportation
Take a train from Newcastle to Morpeth. The journey takes about 15-20 minutes. From Morpeth train station, catch the number 1 bus towards Ashington. Get off at the stop for Harwood (it might be better to check with the driver to confirm the stop). From there, it is about a 20-minute walk to Winter's Gibbet. Follow the signs leading out of the village towards the gibbet. Make sure to check the bus schedule, as service may be limited, especially on weekends.

If you're already in Harwood, simply follow the road north out of the village. The walk is approximately 1 mile and should take about 20-30 minutes. The path is mostly level, so it is suitable for most walkers. Look for signs directing you to Winter's Gibbet along the way.
