Car
If you're driving, you can reach Blair Castle from Edinburgh by taking the M90 towards Perth. Exit onto the A9 towards Inverness. After about 45 miles, take the exit for A924 towards Pitlochry. Continue on the A924 for about 4 miles until you reach Blair Atholl. The castle is well signposted and has a parking area. Be prepared to pay for parking, which is usually around ÂŁ3 for the day.

For those using public transport, take a train from Edinburgh Waverley Station to Pitlochry. The journey takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Pitlochry Station, you can either walk or take a taxi to Blair Castle, which is approximately 3 miles away. If you choose to walk, follow the A924 road directly to Blair Castle, enjoying the scenic views along the way. A taxi ride will cost around ÂŁ10.

Alternatively, you can take a bus from Edinburgh to Blair Atholl. The bus service may take longer, approximately 2 to 3 hours, depending on traffic. Check the Citylink or Stagecoach websites for the most current schedules. Once you arrive at the Blair Atholl bus stop, it’s a short walk (about 15 minutes) to the castle. For convenience, you may want to check if the service includes a stop directly at Blair Castle.
