If you are starting from the York Minster, exit the Minster grounds and head down Minster Yard towards High Petergate. Turn right onto High Petergate and continue walking straight. Bootham Bar will be on your left at 2-4 High Petergate, just a short 5-minute walk from the Minster.

If you are coming from the York Railway Station, exit the station and head towards the main road (Station Road). Cross over to the other side and follow the signs to the city center. Walk straight along the road until you reach the intersection with Leeman Road. Continue straight along Station Road until you reach the junction with Fishergate. Turn right onto Fishergate and then take a left onto High Petergate. Bootham Bar will be on your right in approximately 15 minutes.
