If you are starting from York Minster, head southeast down Minster Yard. Continue straight until you reach the end of the road, and turn left onto Duncombe Place. Walk straight until you reach the junction with Stonegate. Turn right onto Stonegate, and continue until you reach the junction with High Petergate. Turn left onto High Petergate, and continue walking until you reach the entrance to the Museum Gardens on your right. Enter the gardens and walk towards the river, where you will find the Roman Wall along the edge. Follow the wall to explore various sections.

If you are starting from the Shambles, exit the Shambles toward the main road (Market Street). Turn left onto Market Street and continue straight until you reach the junction with Parliament Street. Turn right onto Parliament Street and continue straight until you reach Coney Street. Turn left onto Coney Street, and follow it until you reach the river. Cross the Ouse Bridge, and turn left at the riverbank to follow the path along the river where you will find the Roman Wall.

If you are starting from the Railway Station, exit the station and head towards the main road. Turn right onto Station Road and continue straight until you reach the junction with Leeman Road. Turn left onto Leeman Road and continue until you reach the path leading to the river. Follow the river path heading towards the city center. You will soon find the Roman Wall along your right, where you can start your exploration.

If you are near the York Castle Museum, exit the museum and head towards the main road (Tower Street). Turn left and continue walking until you reach the junction with Piccadilly. Turn right onto Piccadilly and walk straight until you reach the river. Follow the riverbank path, and you will find the Roman Wall as you continue along the pathway.
