If you are starting from York Minster, head north on Minster Yard towards Duncombe Place. Turn left onto Duncombe Place, then continue onto St. Leonard's Place. Follow the road as it curves to the right and becomes Museum Street. Keep walking straight until you reach the junction with Blake Street. Turn left onto Blake Street and follow it until you reach the end. You will find yourself at the intersection with Marygate. Turn right onto Marygate, and St Olave's Church will be on your right side.

From the York Railway Station, exit onto Station Road and head towards the city center. Continue straight onto Leeman Road, then turn right onto the A1036 (Blossom Street). Follow this road until you reach the junction with Marygate. Turn left onto Marygate, and St Olave's Church will be on your right side shortly after.

If you are at the Shambles, start walking north towards the intersection with King’s Square. Turn left onto King’s Square and continue straight until you reach the junction with Pavement. Turn right onto Pavement, then follow the road as it becomes Goodramgate. Continue straight until you reach the junction with Marygate.
