Getting There

• Car

  If you're driving from Logan, take US-89 South toward Garden City. Continue on US-89 for about 44 miles until you reach the junction with UT-43. Turn left onto UT-43 and follow it for approximately 22 miles. Once you reach Dutch John, turn left onto Browns Park Road. The John Jarvie Historic Ranch will be on your right after about 0.5 miles. Make sure to check your fuel level as services are limited in this area.

• Car

  If you are coming from Ogden, take I-15 South to UT-39 E. Follow UT-39 East and then merge onto US-89 South. Continue as detailed above to reach Dutch John and the ranch.

• Public Transportation

  Public transportation options are limited in this area. You can take a Greyhound bus to Vernal, UT, which is approximately 45 miles from Dutch John. From Vernal, you will need to arrange for a taxi or a ride-sharing service to cover the remaining distance to John Jarvie Historic Ranch. Always check current bus schedules and availability.

• Biking

  For the adventurous, biking is an option. If you are starting from Dutch John, you can bike along Browns Park Road, which will lead you directly to the ranch. Ensure you are prepared for the terrain and check the weather conditions prior to your ride.

• Walking

  Walking is not recommended due to the distance and lack of sidewalks on Browns Park Road. If you are staying in Dutch John, it is better to drive or bike to the ranch for safety reasons.
