Walking
From the Apostolic Palace, exit the building and head towards the main entrance of St. Peter's Square. Once you are at the square, walk towards the colonnades on the left side, exiting through the left side of the square. Continue walking straight along Via della Conciliazione until you reach the intersection with Via Garibaldi. Turn right onto Via Garibaldi, and after a short walk, you will find Fontana dell'Acqua Paola on your left. The walk should take approximately 15-20 minutes.

Public Transport (Bus)
From the Apostolic Palace, walk to the nearest bus stop which is located along Via della Conciliazione. Take bus number 115 towards 'Piazza Venezia.' Stay on the bus for about 4 stops and get off at 'Aventino/M. C. Clivo di Rocca Savella.' From there, walk uphill towards the Gianicolo Hill. Follow the signs for Fontana dell'Acqua Paola, which will be about a 10-minute walk from the bus stop. The total travel time, including waiting, should be around 30 minutes.

Alternatively, if you prefer a scenic route, you can walk from the Apostolic Palace to the Gianicolo Hill. Exit the Apostolic Palace and head towards St. Peter's Basilica. Continue walking past the Basilica and take a left onto Viale Vaticano, then follow the signs to Gianicolo Hill. The walk will take you through beautiful parts of Rome and will take about 30-35 minutes. Once you reach the top of the hill, you will find the Fontana dell'Acqua Paola.
