Getting There

Walking
From the Apostolic Palace, exit and head towards the iconic St. Peter’s Square. Walk straight across the square towards the colonnades and exit through the main entrance. Once you are outside, turn left onto Via della Conciliazione. Continue straight on this road, which will eventually lead you to the Tiber River. Cross the river using the Ponte Sant'Angelo bridge. Once you cross, continue straight until you reach the intersection with Via di San Giovanni in Laterano. Turn right onto Via di San Giovanni in Laterano, and you'll find the Roman Forum on your left, just a short walk down the street.

Public Transport - Bus
From the Apostolic Palace, walk to the nearest bus stop, which is located on Via della Conciliazione. Look for the bus with the destination 'Colosseo' (Colosseum). Board the bus and ride for about 10 minutes. Get off at the stop 'Piazza Venezia'. From there, you can see the Roman Forum as it is a short walk down Via di San Giovanni in Laterano, just follow the signs toward the Forum.

Public Transport - Metro
Walk from the Apostolic Palace to the nearest metro station, which is 'Ottaviano' on Line A. Once at the station, take the metro towards Anagnina. Change at 'Termini' station to Line B. From there, take the metro towards Laurentina and get off at 'Colosseo' station. After exiting the station, follow the signs towards the Roman Forum, which is just a short walk away.
