    From the entrance of the Vatican Gardens, exit and head towards the main entrance of the Vatican Museums. Once you reach the Vatican Museums entrance, turn right onto Viale Vaticano. Continue walking straight for about 10 minutes until you reach the Piazza San Pietro (St. Peter's Square). From the square, walk towards the left side of the basilica where you will find an entrance to the Basilica Emilia located at Via della Salara Vecchia, 5/6.

    From the Vatican Gardens, walk to the nearest bus stop, which is located near the Vatican Museums. Board Bus 81 towards 'Stazione Trastevere' and ride for about 5 stops. Get off at the stop 'Piazza Venezia'. From there, walk towards Via della Salara Vecchia, which is about a 10-minute walk. Head east on Via del Corso and turn left onto Via della Salara Vecchia to reach Basilica Emilia.
