Walking
From the Sistine Chapel, exit through the main entrance and head towards the large open space outside. Walk straight ahead towards the magnificent St. Peter's Basilica, which will be directly in front of you. As you approach the basilica, you will see the impressive colonnades of Piazza San Pietro surrounding it. Continue walking towards the basilica until you reach the entrance to the Vatican Necropolis located directly beneath the basilica.

If you prefer to explore a bit more, after exiting the Sistine Chapel, you can take a left and walk along the Vatican Museums' outer perimeter. Follow the signs to St. Peter's Basilica. The path will eventually lead you to the entrance of the Piazza San Pietro. Once you reach the piazza, you can find the entrance to the Vatican Necropolis at the back of St. Peter's Basilica.
