Getting There

Walking
From St. Peter's Basilica, exit the basilica and head towards the main square, Piazza San Pietro. Once you are in the square, face the obelisk in the center. Walk straight towards the large colonnade that surrounds the square. Exit the square through the colonnade and continue straight onto Via della Conciliazione. Follow this street until you reach the Tiber River. At the river, turn left and walk along the riverbank until you reach the Ponte Palatino (Palatine Bridge). Cross the bridge and continue straight on Via Marmorata. After about 1 km, turn right onto Viale delle Terme di Caracalla. The Baths of Caracalla will be on your left.

Public Transport
From St. Peter's Basilica, walk to the nearest metro station, Ottaviano (Line A). Take the metro from Ottaviano in the direction of Anagnina and get off at the third stop, Termini. At Termini, transfer to Line B towards Laurentina and get off at the Circo Massimo station. From Circo Massimo, exit the station and walk towards Via delle Terme di Caracalla, which is a short 10-minute walk away. The Baths of Caracalla will be on your right side as you approach.
