Walking
Assuming you are already inside the Vatican Library, exit the library and walk towards the main entrance of the Vatican Museums. As you exit, turn right and walk along Viale Vaticano. Continue walking straight for about 10 minutes, where you will see the imposing walls of the Vatican City. Keep walking until you reach the large open area of St. Peter's Square (Piazza San Pietro). From there, you can see the Apostolic Palace directly ahead. It will take you about 15 minutes to walk from the Vatican Library to the entrance of the Apostolic Palace.
Public Transportation
If you prefer public transportation, head to the nearest bus stop, which is located outside the Vatican Museums. You can take bus line 64 towards 'P.za Staz. S. Pietro.' After a short ride of about 5 minutes, you will get off at the 'P.za St. Pietro' stop. From there, it’s just a short walk to the Apostolic Palace, approximately 5 minutes. Please note that the bus ticket costs around €1.50 and can be purchased at kiosks or through vending machines.
