From Vatican Museums, exit the main entrance and head towards Viale Vaticano. Turn right onto Viale Vaticano and continue straight until you reach the end of the street. Here, you will come to the roundabout. Take the second exit onto Via di Porta Cavalleggeri. Continue straight until you reach a large intersection at Piazza San Giovanni in Laterano. From there, follow signs for the Tiber River, and cross the river on the Ponte Sant'Angelo bridge. Once across, continue straight onto Via di San Giovanni in Laterano. After a few minutes, turn left onto Via della Bocca della Verità. Continue walking until you reach Piazza della Bocca della Verità, where Santa Maria in Cosmedin is located at number 18.

From the Vatican Museums, walk to the nearest bus stop, which is located on Viale Vaticano. Board Bus number 87 towards 'Piazza Venezia'. Stay on the bus for about 5 stops and alight at 'Piazza Venezia'. From the bus stop, walk towards Via del Corso and continue straight until you reach Via della Bocca della Verità. Turn left onto Via della Bocca della Verità, and you will find Santa Maria in Cosmedin at number 18.
