Getting There

  • Walking

    From the entrance of Vatican Necropolis, head southeast towards Via della Conciliazione. Once you reach the street, turn left and continue walking down this main road. After approximately 10 minutes, you will reach Castel Sant'Angelo on your right. Continue straight until you reach the bridge, Ponte Sant'Angelo. Cross the bridge and you will find yourself on the other side of the Tiber River. Continue walking straight until you reach Piazza Navona, which will be on your right. The Neptune Fountain is located in the center of the square.

    Another route from Vatican Necropolis is to exit the Necropolis and head towards St. Peter's Square. From the square, exit through the colonnade and walk down Via Paolo VI. After about 5 minutes, you will arrive at Via di San Lorenzo in Lucina. Turn left and head straight until you reach Piazza Navona. The Neptune Fountain will be located in the center of the square.
