From the Old Quarter, head to the nearest bus stop at 'Nhà Hát Lớn' (The Opera House). Take Bus 14, which goes directly to the 'Bến xe Mỹ Đình' bus station. Get off at 'Nguyễn Văn Huyên' bus stop. From there, walk north along Nguyễn Văn Huyên street for about 10 minutes to reach the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology.

Rent a bike from one of the many rental shops in the Old Quarter. Head west towards Hoan Kiem Lake, then follow the road to 'Tràng Thi' and 'Lê Duẩn'. Continue to 'Kim Mã', then take a left onto 'Nguyễn Văn Huyên'. The museum is located on your right after about 10 minutes of biking.

If you're near the West Lake, start at 'Trích Sài' and walk south along the lakeshore towards 'Quán Thánh Temple'. From there, head southeast to 'Đường Thanh Niên', continue straight until you reach 'Nguyễn Văn Huyên'. The Vietnam Museum of Ethnology will be on your left after a 20-minute walk.
