If you are traveling by car, start from Hanoi. Take National Route 5 in the direction of Hai Phong. Continue on this route for approximately 100 kilometers until you reach the turn-off for Highway 18 towards Ha Long City. Follow Highway 18 for another 50 kilometers until you arrive in Ha Long. Once in Ha Long, follow the signs to Tuần Châu Island. You will need to pay a toll fee of around 40,000 VND (approximately $2) to cross the bridge to the island. After entering Tuần Châu, follow the signs to Vung Vieng Fishing Village. Parking is available near the boat launch area.

For public transportation, take a bus from Hanoi to Ha Long City. Buses leave from several locations in Hanoi including My Dinh and Gia Lam bus stations. The journey takes about 4-5 hours and costs approximately 200,000 VND (around $9). Once you arrive in Ha Long City, you can take a taxi to Tuần Châu Island. The taxi ride will cost about 150,000 VND (around $6.50) and takes about 20 minutes. After reaching Tuần Châu, follow the signs to the boat launch area for Vung Vieng Fishing Village.

If you are already on Tuần Châu Island, you can take a boat to Vung Vieng Fishing Village. Several tour operators offer boat trips to the village, which usually cost around 300,000 VND (approximately $13) per person. The boat ride typically lasts about 30-45 minutes and provides beautiful views of Ha Long Bay. Ensure to check the schedule and make a reservation in advance, especially during the high season.
