Car
If you are driving from Assateague Island National Seashore, start by heading northwest on MD-611 N. Continue on MD-611 N for approximately 10 miles until you reach the intersection with US-50 E. Take the exit onto US-50 E toward Ocean City. Merge onto US-50 E and continue for about 5 miles. Once you cross the bridge into Ocean City, stay in the right lane to follow signs for Coastal Highway/MD-528 S. Continue on Coastal Highway for about 1.5 miles, then turn right onto 4th Street and take that to the beach. Continue onto the South Boardwalk, where the Whale Sculpture is located at 400 S Boardwalk, Ocean City, MD 21842. Parking may incur fees depending on the season and time of day.

Public Transportation
If you are using public transportation, you can take the Ocean City bus system, known as the 'OC Transportation'. Board the bus at any of the stops in Assateague Island National Seashore and take it towards the Ocean City area. Make sure to check the bus schedule beforehand as services may vary. You will want to get off at the stop closest to the South Boardwalk. From there, it’s a short walk down to 400 S Boardwalk, where the Whale Sculpture is located. A one-way fare on the bus is typically around $3.
