To reach The Boardwalk in Ocean City, MD from Assateague Island by car, start by heading northwest on MD-611 N (Stephen Decatur Highway) from Assateague Island. Continue on MD-611 N for approximately 10 miles. As you approach Ocean City, MD, turn left onto Coastal Highway (MD-528 S). Continue on Coastal Highway for about 2 miles until you reach the intersection with 5th Street. Turn left onto 5th Street and follow it down to the Boardwalk. The Boardwalk will be on your left at 501 S Boardwalk, Ocean City, MD 21842. Parking may be available in nearby lots, which may incur fees ranging from $5 to $20 depending on the time of year and duration of your stay.

If you prefer public transportation, you can take the Ocean City Bus Service from Assateague Island. First, head to the nearest bus stop at the entrance of Assateague Island National Seashore.
