Jellystone Park™ Chincoteague Island will be on your left at 6742 Maddox Blvd, Chincoteague, VA 23336. It is approximately a 15-minute drive, depending on traffic.

• Public Transportation

  Currently, there are limited public transportation options directly to Jellystone Park™ Chincoteague Island. However, you can take a local bus or shuttle service from nearby towns to Chincoteague. Once you arrive in Chincoteague, you will need to use a taxi or a rideshare service like Uber or Lyft to reach the park, as it is about a 5-minute drive from the town center to the park's location at 6742 Maddox Blvd. Be aware that taxi services may have varying rates, so it is advisable to confirm the fare beforehand.

  For those who enjoy cycling, you can bike from Assateague Island to Jellystone Park™ Chincoteague Island. Follow Assateague Island Road (Route 611) directly toward Chincoteague. Once you reach the intersection with Maddox Boulevard, turn right, and continue straight until you reach Jellystone Park at 6742 Maddox Blvd. The route is approximately 6 miles and can take about 30-45 minutes, depending on your pace.

• Walking

  Walking from Assateague Island to Jellystone Park™ Chincoteague Island is not recommended due to the distance and lack of sidewalks along certain stretches. However, if you are determined to walk, you can follow the same route as cyclists by taking Assateague Island Road (Route 611) toward Chincoteague and then turning onto Maddox Boulevard. Be prepared for a walk of approximately 2 hours, and ensure you have adequate hydration and sun protection.
