From any location in Blacksburg, make your way to the nearest bus stop for the Smart Way Bus service. Look for the Smart Way route that heads towards Roanoke. Once aboard, enjoy the scenic ride which takes approximately 30 minutes. Disembark at the Roanoke bus station. From there, walk southeast on Campbell Ave SW for about 5 minutes until you reach Salem Ave SE. Turn left onto Salem Ave SE, and the Taubman Museum of Art will be on your right at 110 Salem Ave SE.

If you prefer cycling, rent a bike from a local rental shop in Blacksburg. Head towards the Huckleberry Trail, which connects to Blacksburg and runs towards the town of Christiansburg, then follow the trail toward Roanoke. Upon entering downtown Roanoke, navigate to Salem Ave SE, where you will find the Taubman Museum of Art at 110 Salem Ave SE. The ride will take approximately 1 hour depending on your pace.

Start from the center of Blacksburg and head northwest on Main St toward College Ave. Continue walking until you reach the intersection with US-460 W. Follow the pedestrian paths and sidewalks until you reach Roanoke. This will take several hours (approximately 2-3 hours depending on your pace), so be sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring water.
