From downtown Charlottesville, head to the Charlottesville Transit Center located at 615 E Water St. Take the #7 bus (Route 7) towards 'Belmont' or the #10 bus (Route 10) towards 'Monticello'. These buses run approximately every 30 minutes. Ask the driver to inform you when you reach the stop for 'Carter Mountain Orchard' or 'Carters Mountain Trail'. Once you get off, you'll need to walk about 0.5 miles (approximately 10-15 minutes) uphill to reach the orchard entrance at 1435 Carters Mountain Trail.

Bicycle
If you're comfortable biking, you can rent a bike from a local shop in downtown Charlottesville. Head south on 4th St SE, then turn left onto E Main St and continue for about a mile.
