Car
If you are traveling by car, you can reach the Museum of Chincoteague Island located at 7125 Maddox Blvd, Chincoteague, VA 23336 by taking US-13 South. Follow US-13 until you reach the traffic circle in Accomack County. Take the 3rd exit onto VA-175 E toward Chincoteague Island. Continue on VA-175 E for about 12 miles, which will take you directly onto the island. Once on the island, follow Maddox Blvd. The museum will be on your right. There is parking available on-site.

From Onancock, you can call a local taxi or rideshare service to take you to Chincoteague Island. The taxi ride will be approximately 30 minutes and may cost around $40-$60 depending on the service. Once you arrive in Chincoteague, you can walk or take another taxi to the museum at 7125 Maddox Blvd.
