If you are in downtown Fredericksburg, start at the Visitor Center located at 706 Caroline St. Exit the Visitor Center and head south on Caroline St towards William St. Turn left onto William St and continue walking until you reach Charles St. Turn right onto Charles St. Continue on Charles St for about 0.5 miles, and you will see the Washington Heritage Museums Business Office located at 1300 Charles St on your left.

From the downtown area, locate the nearest bus stop for the FRED Transit system. Take the FRED bus Route 1 towards the 'Mary Washington Hospital.' You will need to get off at the 'Charles St & Mary Washington Blvd' stop. From there, walk north on Charles St for about 0.3 miles. The Washington Heritage Museums Business Office will be on your right at 1300 Charles St.
