If you're starting in downtown Fredericksburg, head northwest on Princess Anne St. Continue until you reach the intersection with William St. Turn left onto William St. and walk until you reach the intersection with Route 1 (Jefferson Davis Hwy). Cross Route 1 at the designated crosswalk, then head north on the sidewalk along the highway. After about a quarter-mile, turn right onto Greenbrier Dr. Continue walking until you see the entrance to Alum Spring Park on your left at 1 Greenbrier Dr.

For those biking from downtown Fredericksburg, start on the Canal Path trail heading northwest. Follow the trail until you reach the intersection with the Virginia Central Railway Trail. Take a right onto the Virginia Central Railway Trail and continue until you reach the intersection with Route 1. Carefully cross Route 1 and then turn left onto it. Bike north for about 0.5 miles, then turn right onto Greenbrier Dr. Continue biking straight until you see the entrance to Alum Spring Park on your left at 1 Greenbrier Dr.
