Car
From any location in Piedmont, head towards U.S. Route 29 (US-29). If you're in the town of Culpeper, take US-29 South. If you're in the town of Warrenton, take US-29 North. Continue on US-29 for approximately 50 miles until you reach the junction with VA-6. Take the exit for VA-6 West towards Appomattox. Follow VA-6 for about 20 miles until you reach the intersection with VA-29 Business. Continue straight onto VA-29 Business, which will eventually lead you to Wingina. Follow the signs to James River Wildlife Management Area, which is located at the end of a gravel road off VA-29 Business. Note: Parking may be limited in some areas, and there may be no fees for parking.
