Public Bus
From Town Center, walk to the nearest bus stop located at 18th St & Mediterranean Ave. Take the Virginia Beach public bus, Route 20 (Virginia Beach Oceanfront), heading toward the Oceanfront. Ride for about 20 minutes until you reach the stop at 1st St & Atlantic Ave. Transfer to the Route 33 bus (Fort Story) here. Ride the Route 33 for approximately 30 minutes, which will take you closer to the Cape Henry Lighthouse. Get off at the stop labeled 'Fort Story.' From there, you will need to walk about 15 minutes along Cape Henry Road to reach the New Cape Henry Lighthouse at 560 Cape Henry Rd. The total bus fare is around $2.00 per ride.

Bicycle
If you're up for a bike ride, consider renting a bicycle from one of the bike-sharing stations located throughout Town Center. From there, head east on Virginia Beach Blvd. and follow the path along the ocean until you reach Fort Story.
