Car
If you're traveling by car, start by getting onto WA-14 E from your current location in the Columbia River Gorge. Follow WA-14 E for approximately 10 miles until you reach the exit for Old Hwy 8 in White Salmon. Take the exit and turn left onto Old Hwy 8. Continue on Old Hwy 8 for about 1 mile, and you will find the Coyote Wall Trailhead on your right. There is no parking fee at the trailhead.
Public Transportation
If you're using public transportation, you'll first need to reach the nearest bus stop serviced by the Columbia Area Transit (CAT) in White Salmon. Use local services to get to White Salmon, and once there, catch the CAT bus that goes towards the Columbia River Gorge. However, please note that public transport options may be limited, and you may need to arrange for a taxi or rideshare service from the bus stop to the Coyote Wall Trailhead, which is roughly 2 miles away.
Bicycle
For those who prefer biking, you can start your journey in White Salmon and follow Old Hwy 8. It’s a scenic route, but be cautious of traffic. The trailhead is approximately 2 miles from the town center. Make sure to wear a helmet and follow all traffic regulations.
