Car

If you are traveling by car, start from Hood River, Oregon, and take I-84 East. After about 15 miles, take exit 64 for WA-14 W towards Lyle. Continue on WA-14 W for approximately 12 miles. The park entrance will be on your right at 85 WA-14, Lyle, WA 98635. There is no entrance fee for Columbia Hills Historical State Park, but be prepared for potential parking fees during peak seasons.
Public Transportation

For those using public transportation, take the Columbia Gorge Express from Portland to Hood River. The bus operates several times a day, and you can check the schedule at the Columbia Gorge Express website.
