To reach Luhr's Landing Access Area from downtown Federal Way, start by walking to the nearest bus stop on Pacific Highway S. Take the Sound Transit Route 586 bus towards Olympia. Stay on the bus for approximately 40 minutes, and get off at the 'Olympia - Martin Way & 4th Ave' stop. From there, transfer to the Intercity Transit Route 60 bus towards Tumwater. Ride for about 10 minutes and get off at the 'Milluhr Rd & 49th Ave NE' stop. Walk east on Milluhr Rd NE for about 10 minutes until you reach Luhr's Landing Access Area.

If you prefer to bike, rent a bicycle from a local rental shop in Federal Way. Start by heading south on Pacific Highway S, then take the bike path along the highway towards Olympia. Follow the signage for bicycle lanes and paths. After about 10 miles, you will reach Milluhr Rd NE. Turn left onto Milluhr Rd NE and continue for about 1 mile. Luhr's Landing Access Area will be on your right.

For those who enjoy walking, from the Federal Way Community Center, head east on S 312th St towards 21st Ave S. Turn right onto Pacific Highway S and walk north for about 2 miles until you reach Martin Way. Continue walking straight for about 4 miles along Martin Way, then turn right onto Milluhr Rd NE. Walk for about 0.5 miles, and you will find Luhr's Landing Access Area on your right.
