Public Transit
From Kent Station, take the Sounder train heading towards Seattle. Get off at the Tacoma Dome Station, which is about a 30-minute ride. Once you arrive at Tacoma Dome Station, transfer to Pierce Transit Route 200 towards Olympia. Stay on the bus for approximately 50 minutes until you reach the stop at Martin Way & 29th Ave NE. From there, you will need to walk about 1.5 miles to reach the Billy Frank Jr. Nisqually National Wildlife Refuge. Head northeast on Martin Way NE, then turn left onto 29th Ave NE. Continue straight until you reach Brown Farm Rd NE, then turn right to reach your destination.

Bus
Begin your journey at the Kent Transit Center. Board the King County Metro Bus Route 186 towards Federal Way. After about 15 minutes, transfer to Sound Transit Route 586 at the Federal Way Transit Center towards Olympia. Stay on the bus for approximately 45 minutes and get off at the Nisqually National Wildlife Refuge stop. From there, it's a short walk to the entrance of the Billy Frank Jr. Nisqually National Wildlife Refuge.

Bicycle
If you're feeling adventurous, you can rent a bicycle in Kent. Start at Kent Station and head south on the Green River Trail. Follow the trail until it leads you to the Interurban Trail. Continue on the Interurban Trail until you reach the intersection with Martin Way. Follow Martin Way east for about 3 miles until you reach Brown Farm Rd NE, then turn left. The Billy Frank Jr. Nisqually National Wildlife Refuge will be on your right-hand side.

If you are staying in a nearby hotel, you can walk to the Billy Frank Jr. Nisqually National Wildlife Refuge. Depending on your starting point, head towards the nearest bus stop and take any bus that leads towards the Olympia area. Get off at the Nisqually National Wildlife Refuge stop and enjoy the scenic walk to the entrance. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes, as the final stretch from the bus stop to the refuge is approximately 1.5 miles.
