Rent a bicycle from a local bike rental shop in Redmond. Start your journey by heading west on the Sammamish River Trail, which connects to the Burke-Gilman Trail. Follow the Burke-Gilman Trail towards Seattle for about 9 miles. When you reach Ballard, take a left on NW 54th St and continue for about 1 mile. The Ballard Locks will be on your right at 3015 NW 54th St, Seattle, WA 98107.

If you are near the Redmond Town Center, start walking towards 164th Ave NE. Head north until you reach NE 85th St. Turn left and continue walking until you reach the Sammamish River Trail.
