Getting There

• Public Bus

  To reach the Almost Heaven Swing from downtown Beckley, start by locating the Beckley Bus Terminal on South Kanawha Street. Board the bus heading towards Danese. The bus ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at the Danese stop, walk approximately 0.5 miles northwest along Babcock State Park Road until you reach the Almost Heaven Swing at 486 Babcock State Park Road.

• Bicycle

  If you prefer to cycle, rent a bicycle from a local rental shop in Beckley. Begin your journey on South Kanawha Street heading north. Follow the signs to Route 19 North and then take the exit toward Danese. This route is approximately 10 miles and takes about 40-50 minutes depending on your cycling speed. Once you reach Danese, turn onto Babcock State Park Road and continue for about 0.5 miles until you reach the Almost Heaven Swing.

• Walking

  For adventurous walkers, start from the center of Beckley, near the Raleigh County Courthouse. Head north on South Kanawha Street, then take Route 19 North. The walk is approximately 10 miles and will take around 3-4 hours. Make sure to follow the pedestrian paths and sidewalks. Once you get to Danese, turn left onto Babcock State Park Road and walk for about 0.5 miles to reach the Almost Heaven Swing.
