Public Transit - Bus
From Bay View, walk to the nearest bus stop on Kinnickinnic Avenue. Take the Milwaukee County Transit System (MCTS) bus route 15 heading north. Stay on the bus for approximately 30 minutes, and get off at the 'Water and Michigan' stop. From there, walk east on Michigan Street towards the lake until you reach the Lakefront. The Milwaukee Pierhead Lighthouse is located at the end of the breakwater, where you can enjoy beautiful views of Lake Michigan.
Walking
If you prefer to walk, head north on Kinnickinnic Avenue until you reach the intersection with Lincoln Avenue. Turn left onto Lincoln Avenue and continue walking until you reach the lakefront. Follow the shoreline path, which will lead you directly to the Milwaukee Pierhead Lighthouse. The walk is approximately 2.5 miles and will take about 50 minutes, offering scenic views along the way.
Biking
For those who enjoy cycling, rent a bike from one of the local bike-sharing services available in Bay View. Head north on Kinnickinnic Avenue, then turn left onto Lincoln Avenue and follow the same route towards the lakefront. Once you reach the lake, continue biking along the paved paths that lead to the Milwaukee Pierhead Lighthouse. The bike ride is around 2.5 miles and should take about 15-20 minutes, depending on your speed. Note that bike rental prices vary, so check the service for details.
