Public Transit - Bus
To reach the Milwaukee Art Museum at 700 N Art Museum Dr, start by locating the nearest bus stop. If you are near the Intermodal Station (which is a central hub), you can take the 'Green Line' bus heading towards 'East North Avenue.' Get off at the 'Water St & Michigan St' stop. From there, walk east towards the lakefront, passing by the scenic parks. Continue straight on E Michigan St until you reach the intersection with N Art Museum Dr. Turn right, and the museum will be on your left.
Public Transit - Streetcar
If you are close to a streetcar stop, take the 'Milwaukee Streetcar' (the Hop) heading towards the 'Lakefront' direction. Ride until you reach the 'Wisconsin & Water' stop. From here, exit and walk north on N Water St. Continue straight until you reach E Michigan St. Turn left on E Michigan St and walk until you reach N Art Museum Dr. Turn right, and you will find the Milwaukee Art Museum ahead.
Walking
If you are within walking distance, head towards the lakefront. From downtown Milwaukee, walk towards E Wisconsin Ave heading east until you reach the lake. Once at the lake, turn left on the waterfront path. Follow the path along the lake until you see the Milwaukee Art Museum's iconic architecture. You will enter the museum from the front entrance at 700 N Art Museum Dr.
Bicycle Rental
For those who prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from one of the many bike-sharing stations around Milwaukee. Head towards the lakefront, following the bike lanes on E Wisconsin Ave. Once you reach the lake, follow the bike path north along the lakefront. The Milwaukee Art Museum is located along this path at 700 N Art Museum Dr. Secure your bike in the bike racks provided near the entrance.
