If you're starting from the Milwaukee Public Market located at 400 N Water St, Milwaukee, WI 53202, exit the market and head south on N Water St toward E St Paul Ave. Continue on N Water St for about 0.3 miles until you reach E Wells St. Turn left onto E Wells St and walk east for another 0.5 miles until you reach N Doctor M.L.K. Jr Dr. Turn right onto N Doctor M.L.K. Jr Dr, and you will find the Kilbourntown Marker on your left after about 0.2 miles, near the intersection with W State St.

From the Milwaukee Public Market, walk to the nearest bus stop at the intersection of N Water St and E St Paul Ave. Take the Milwaukee County Transit System bus number 30 heading towards 'Hammond & 35th'. Ride the bus for about 10 minutes and get off at the stop on W State St & N Doctor M.L.K. Jr Dr. Walk north for a short distance on N Doctor M.L.K. Jr Dr, and you'll see the Kilbourntown Marker on your right.
