Car
From the main entrance of Bighorn National Forest, head east on US-14 towards Burgess Junction. Travel for approximately 27 miles until you see the turnoff for Medicine Wheel Pass Road (Forest Road 12). Turn left onto Medicine Wheel Pass Road and continue for about 13 miles. The road can be steep and winding, so take it slow. Follow the signs for Bighorn Medicine Wheel. There is a parking area at the trailhead.

Hiking
Once parked at the trailhead, you will need to hike approximately 1.5 miles on a well-marked trail to reach Bighorn Medicine Wheel. The trail is moderately steep, so wear sturdy hiking shoes and bring plenty of water. The hike offers beautiful views of the surrounding landscape, and the effort is well worth it when you reach the Medicine Wheel.

Public transportation options are limited in this area. However, if you are in Lovell, WY, you can take a taxi or rideshare service to the entrance of Bighorn National Forest. From there, you will need to arrange for a car rental or taxi service to take you to the Medicine Wheel Pass Road turnoff.
