From any location within Bighorn National Forest, head towards the nearest major road. If you are close to Lovell, Wyoming, take Highway 310 South. Continue to follow the signs for the Bighorn National Forest. Once you reach the forest boundary, look for Forest Service Road (FSR) 146. Turn onto FSR 146 and follow it for about 7 miles. The Porcupine Falls Trailhead will be on your right, marked by a sign. Make sure to have a map or GPS device handy as some areas may have limited cell service.

Public transportation options are limited in this rural area. The closest bus service is from Greyhound, which stops in Lovell, WY. From Lovell, you will need to arrange for a taxi or rideshare service to take you to FSR 146. Once you reach FSR 146, follow it for about 7 miles to the Porcupine Falls Trailhead on your right. Be sure to check the local taxi services in advance, as they may not be readily available at all times.
