If you're traveling by car within Carbon County, head towards the town of Encampment. From Saratoga, take WY-130 W for about 24 miles until you reach the junction with WY-230. Turn left onto WY-230 S and continue for approximately 13 miles. As you enter Encampment, take a right onto Barnett Ave. The Grand Encampment Museum will be on your left at 807 Barnett Ave. Parking is available on-site.

Public transportation options are limited in Carbon County. However, you can take a bus from Rawlins to Saratoga and then use a local taxi service to reach Encampment. Once you arrive in Saratoga, contact a taxi service to take you the remaining 24 miles to the museum. Ensure to check the bus schedule in advance as services may not run frequently.
